Assistant Director Melissa Paa Redwood and student programming assistants Alice Zheng ’21C and Daisy Kim ’22C worked to create the first APIDA graduation ceremony for the university in Spring 2021. Students from Emory College, School of Public Health, Business School, School of Nursing, School of Medicine, School of Law, School of Theology, and Graduate School participated in the ceremony.

The ceremony was held online in 2021, but several seniors who received permission to live on campus that year were able to gather in person for a celebratory luncheon to mark the important milestone.

The first in-person ceremony was held in 2022 at the Emory Student Center.
